Sarah Siddons (No. 12)
Donated to the museum in 2005, Sarah Siddons is a battery-electric model of a Metropolitan-Vickers electric locomotives as used on the Metropolitan railway between 1922 and 1961. The prototype loco is preserved in working order and occasionally hauls special trains. The model was built to 7½in gauge (as opposed to the AMR's 7¼in) and required re-gauging and a full service before it could be put to use. It made its debut at the March 2008 open weekend top-and-tailing trains with the 'A'-class, however it requires further electrical work before it can perform regularly on its own. |

Metropolitan Coaches
Built by Aristocraft, these two bogie coaches arrived at the AMR in February 2007. They are finished in Metropolitan Railway livery to match the 'Metro-Vick' locos and are equipped with vacuum braking. |

Riding Truck
Built by Mike Dickinson in 2008, this riding truck will run with Sarah Siddons. It is fitted with a brake lever to stop a moving train, and a screw-down brake for parking. There is also the option of retrofitting vacuum brakes. |

Wagons
Two wagons were donated to the AMR with Sarah Siddons - a 4-wheel LNWR open wagon (used as a driving truck) and a bogie open wagon (which doubles as a passenger coach). Both wagons were also built to 7½ gauge and were regauged for use on the AMR, however it was found that they were not really suitable for the railway. Both wagons have since been sold and the proceeds will be used to purchase wagons more suitable for the AMR. |

Little Red Train
Based on 1938 Tube Stock, the Little Red Train (LRT), built by Fred Blois but now jointly owned by Adrian Allum and Daniel Hill, is a regular visitor to the AMR. The train originally operated as a 2-car set, but a third car was brought into use in March 2009. The train used to visit other miniature railways and operate on a portable track at fetes and other events, but it has been retired from the Portable Track events. For more information about the LRT, please visit www.littleredtrain.co.uk. |

Metropolitan Railway 'A' Class
Built for the Metropolitan Railway by Beyer Peacock from 1864, the 4-4-0T 'A' Class locos were fitted with condensing equipment to allow them to work in the railway's tunnel sections. One of the 'A' class locomotives is preserved at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. The model, built and owned by Mike Dickinson, first visited in a partially completed state in March 2006 and (after completion) returned to provide rides at subsequent open weekends. |

4-wheel Battery Electric
This battery electric loco, built and owned by Jonathan Riddell, was based on a narrow-gauge outline diesel shunter and regularly visited the AMR. It has been given a new body to represent the C&SLR electric loco, of which number 13 has been preserved by the Museum. Its braking system is not yet up to the standard required for passenger service so only works empty stock and test trains. |

Alison
'Alison', owned by Stephen Trower, is an 0-4-2T to the popular 'Bridget' design. She first visited the AMR in February 2010 and made her public debut at the March 2010 open weekend. Despite her small size, she is perfectly capable of hauling short trains up the gradient and is likely to be a regular visitor to the AMR in future. |

G(23) single Car 'Ginny'
The 'Ginny' is based on one of the two District Railway G(23) single cars used to operate the shuttle between Acton Town and South Acton. This car was built by Fred Blois but never finished, and was purchased by Daniel Hill & Adrian Allum at the same time as the LRT. After completion, the car was unveiled at the Open Weekend in March 2011, but is underpowered (due to only having motors on two axles) so requires further work before it can enter regular service. |

Livvy the Tram Engine
Livvy is based on a Wisbech and Upwell J70 tram locomotive, though battery-electric powered rather than steam. She first visited the AMR during a work session in January 2007 and, although she did not have the power to haul passenger trains up the AMR's gradients, she saw use on test and works trains. Over the winter of 2009/10, she had a major overhaul, significantly increasing her performance. She is now able to haul heavy trains up the gradients with ease. For more information about Livvy, see her website. |
